GET OFF THE BEATEN PATH & LEARN TO ALPINE TOUR
Waterville Valley Resort is excited to bring back the Out of Bounds series, an intro to alpine touring as part of our Seasonal Programs. Join one of our two sessions and learn about the growing sport of Alpine Touring while exploring all that Waterville Valley has to offer. This program is geared towards individuals looking to join a community of skiers and experiencing a ski day adventure while “earning their turns.” During this two session series, you will continue to expand upon your existing ski skills by learning about the basics of alpine touring, aka “uphilling.” You will learn about equipment, gear preparation, uphill movement and travel skills, while exploring the local area, finding secret stashes, and of course, enjoying the descent. No touring experience is required, but participants should be comfortable descending and stopping on all blue square terrain and be at least 18 years of age.

Private alpine tours are designed around your goals and objectives. Work one-on-one with an experienced professional, or bring your own group! Private outings are available upon request, please email icullison@waterville.com for more information.
SESSION DETAILS
Tour duration: 2-3 hours
All classes will meet at the Adventure Center in Town Square unless noted by your instructor. Please arrive promptly for a debrief before driving to the trailhead for the start of tour. You do not need to bring skis and boots inside unless you are renting equipment.
If you are renting equipment please plan to show up at least 15 minutes early or arrange with the Adventure Center for an earlier pickup time. You will need to complete the rental waiver prior to the first class and bring along one ski boot for binding adjustments. Reminder that we do not rent boots, just skis, skins, and poles.

COSTS & RENTALS
Series Cost | $245 (w/o rentals)
Series Rental | $109 (Skis, skins, poles only)
One-Time Rental | $40 (Skis, skins, poles only)
+Rentals include a pair of Salomon QST 92 skis mounted with frame bindings and poles if needed. Boots are not included. Frame bindings are compatible with most alpine and touring boots so personal boots can be used. We do recommend a boot with a walk mode, but not required.
Prior to your adventure you will be sent a comprehensive packing list, terrain overview, and a meeting location before every outing.

UPHILL POLICY
In addition to our traditional uphill routes throughout the Valley, we are excited to announce a new uphill policy that’s still in the works! We’ve been working with the National Forest Service, local constituents & internal department leaders to develop this new Uphill Policy. Keep an eye on waterville.com for more details! In the meantime, Out of Bounds is a Seasonal Program that takes skiers off the beaten path, and introduces them to Alpine touring.
